宇佐　山下焼・定窯（さだがま）について

 　定窯は２００２年定行正義が、宇佐市大字山下で作陶を開始する。以来、仕事のかたわら陶芸に励むも２００５年病にて制作を中止する。２００９年退職後、本格的に再開する。２０１１年に「陶芸のための遊び場」を開設し、仲間たちと共に陶芸を楽しんでいる。

 

定窯には現在、３様の作家がいる。定正(さだまさ)・吹源(ふきげん)・定芳(ていほう)である。

定正（さだまさ）には３つのシリーズがある。

影絵シリーズ・・・・夏の灯籠、障子に映った日の光、窓から差し込む光をイメージしたもの。　織部・黄土の還元焼成。

雪シリーズ・・・・・雪、氷、をイメージしたもの。

大地シリーズ・・・・自然の風景をイメージしたもの。

 吹源（ふきげん）は地元山下の土を使い焼き締め、炭化焼を中心に少々のゆうやくを使用。

定芳（ていほう）はマットな肌合いですっきりとしたフォルムが特徴である。
